Privacy notice

This notice explains the first-party measurement used on FanLoop artist pages, smart links, and backstage pages operated by GreenLoop for an artist.

Analytics are optional

FanLoop does not send page or behavior analytics until you choose “Allow analytics.” You can decline or change your choice using “Privacy choices” at the bottom of an artist page. We also honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by keeping analytics off. Declining analytics does not prevent you from viewing a page, joining an artist’s list, or receiving content you request.

What an allowed choice measures

FanLoop may record page loads and session page visits, the artist-page section exposed in the viewport, scroll milestones (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%), approximate time while the page is visible and the browser window is active, smart-link destinations selected, signup form starts, offer views or actions, and playback milestones for artist-supplied audio in a private Backstage Pack. Active time is a browser-state estimate and cannot prove that someone was paying attention. A section exposure requires at least half of the section or half of the viewport, whichever is smaller, to be visible for one second. Repeated milestones are deduplicated by browser session, page, destination, or audio asset as appropriate. A link choice is not a stream, purchase, completed download, or listen.

A random browser-tab session identifier is kept in session storage and is hashed before storage; it is not linked to a named fan. FanLoop does not record typed form contents for analytics, keystrokes, cursor movement, or browsing on other websites. It records only the external referrer host and limited campaign tags where available. Signup details and channel-consent records are processed separately to provide the artist’s requested fan list and are controlled through that workspace.

Accuracy and limits

Counts are first-party observations, not a complete picture of every listener. Browser privacy settings, blocked storage, network failures, ad blockers, shared devices, automated traffic, and repeated human actions can affect them. Refreshes remain page loads; session visits are deduplicated by browser session and page path. FanLoop does not identify unique people from these events.

Retention

After this notice and the measurement update are deployed, page-load, outbound-link, and offer event records are scheduled for deletion after 400 days; granular engagement records (active-time chunks, scroll milestones, section exposures, signup starts, smart-link choices, and playback milestones) after 180 days; daily aggregate analytics and source/campaign summaries after 800 days; hashed page, section, destination, and playback markers after 48 hours; abuse-rate counters after 24 hours; and active-time caps after 400 days. Source/campaign summary expiry moves forward when new events update the summary. A bounded daily cleanup job removes expired records, so backlogs may extend removal time. Existing historical records created before these expiry fields are applied may remain longer while the older data is reconciled. Artist fan/contact and consent records have separate workspace retention and deletion controls.

Your choices and contact

Use “Privacy choices” on an artist page to withdraw or change analytics permission. Withdrawing stops future browser analytics requests from that page. It does not erase records already included in aggregate totals; for an access or deletion request, contact hello@greenloop.dev. The artist controls fan contact records collected through their workspace.
